The White Cashmere Collection is Canada's annual celebration of Fashion With Compassion™. An awareness-raiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Cashmere BT (bathroom tissue) Couture collection, now in its eighth year, stars Canada's leading fashion designers and their vision of a future without breast cancer, all crafted in 100 per cent pure, soft and luxurious Cashmere Bathroom Tissue. The collection also features limited-edition Pink Cashmere, with twenty-five cents from the sale of every package going directly to the Foundation.
The stunning vision of Fashion with Compassion took to the runway in Toronto on Wednesday, September 28 at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The spectacular show was curated by Canadian fashion designer Farley Chatto who assembled an amazing roster of 15 Canadian designers who created everything from men's and evening wear to jewelry and accessories, crafted from Cashmere Bathroom Tissue.
"I was delighted to assemble such a wonderful crew of designers for the Cashmere Bathroom Tissue Couture Collection," says collection curator Farley Chatto. "This year's innovative collection includes men's wear by Lizares' Brian Maristela crafted in BT for the first time along with the collection's first-ever mature model. I'm thrilled to be involved."
This year's show features an awesome cast of fashion luminaries including Philip Sparks, Marika Brose, José-Manuel St-Jacques, Christopher Paunil, LIZARES by Brian Maristela, L'autre Couture by Luko Marion, Carrie Hayes, Jason Matlo, Richard Robinson, LOVAS by Wesley Badanjak, Simon Bélanger, Hoax Couture by Chris Tyrell and Jim Searle, Franco Mirabelli, Ever Thine hats by Mikki Rizvi and accessories by Rita Tesolin.
