Cashmere
Why did you choose the name Cashmere®?
Actually, it was our customers who chose the name Cashmere®. In consumer research, we asked Canadian women a very simple question: when you think of softness, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Virtually all of the women we spoke to mentioned cashmere. They said it was luxurious, thick and as soft as soft can be. The name Cashmere® was a natural fit and perfectly captured the comfort and softness that our bathroom tissue offers.
Was Cashmere® bathroom tissue formerly called Cottonelle?
Yes. In 1997, the Cottonelle name in Canada was licensed to Scott Paper Limited for a 10-year period. We knew we would ultimately have to change the name and, in 2004, began the process of doing so with the introduction of Cashmere®. At the same time, we also introduced several product enhancements. Cashmere® is quilted for even more comfort, and Cashmere® Ultra is now 3-ply to provide an additional layer of comfort and softness.
Which product is better: Cashmere® EnviroCare or Cashmere® Regular?
For those who are environmentally-conscious, Cashmere® EnviroCare is made with 100% recycled fibre. The convenient double roll format uses less packaging per sheet of tissue to reduce waste while delivering the same premium softness as our Cashmere® Regular.
What's the difference between Cashmere® Regular and Cashmere® Ultra?
Both are quilted to deliver the ultimate in comfort. Cashmere® Regular is a 2-ply product while Cashmere® Ultra is a softer, thicker 3-ply that offers an additional layer of quilted softness.
Does Cashmere® actually contain real cashmere?
No. While Cashmere® has the quality and softness that women associate with cashmere, it is made of paper fibres and does not contain any wool or wool derivatives.
I'm allergic to wool - will that be a problem?
No. Cashmere® is made of paper fibres and does not contain any wool or wool derivatives.
Who makes Cashmere®?
Cashmere® tissue is 100% Canadian-made by Kruger Products L.P. at our mill in Crabtree, Quebec.
Why is Cashmere® quilted?
Our research showed that a significant majority of Canadian consumers who stated a preference preferred quilted sheets to flat sheets. Since Cashmere® Ultra has always been quilted, we decided to quilt Cashmere® as well so that all of our customers can enjoy the ultimate luxury in softness and comfort.

Why did you come up with the idea of introducing Cashmere® Pink?

Is Cashmere® Pink hypo-allergenic?
Yes, it is hypo-allergenic and dermatologist approved.
I have an allergy to red dye, can I still use Cashmere® Pink?
It is recommended that a decision for use by those with skin problems be made by consulting a general practitioner or a dermatologist.
What type of dye and amount can be found in Cashmere® Pink?
The dye chosen is designed as a paper tissue colourant for contact with human skin. It also has a high affinity to fibre (i.e. the dye will remain on the fibre when wet). Less than 0.2% of dye was used per pack.
Is Cashmere® Pink safe for my septic tank?
Yes, as long as the septic system is properly sized and maintained in accordance with its manufacturer's specifications.
Can I flush Cashmere® Fresh Wipes in the toilet?
Yes, new Cashmere® Fresh Wipes break apart quickly when flushed.
How do Cashmere® Fresh Wipes differ from other moist wipes?
Unlike most other moist wipes, new Cashmere® Fresh Wipes are made with a unique dispersible fabric that breaks apart quickly when flushed. Made with 98% renewable resources and biodegradable, these wipes are gentle on the environment.
Are Cashmere® Fresh Wipes hypoallergenic?
